Kai Mercer
Kai trained under some of the best portrait artists in the Midlands before joining Black Veil. His photorealistic work has won awards at conventions in Birmingham, Manchester and London. If you want a piece that looks like a photograph on skin, he's your artist.
Luna Chen
Luna spent two years apprenticing in traditional Japanese technique before bringing her skills to Nottingham. Her large-scale work combines flowing composition with bold, precise linework. She doesn't do small — she does statement pieces.

AFTERCARE

Keep the wrap on for at least 2 hours after your session.

Wash gently with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Pat dry — never rub.

Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free moisturiser 2–3 times a day for the first two weeks.

Do not pick, scratch, or peel any scabbing. Let it heal naturally.

Avoid direct sunlight, swimming pools, saunas, and baths for at least 2 weeks.

Wear loose, breathable clothing over the tattooed area while it heals.

If anything looks off — redness, swelling, unusual discharge — get in touch immediately.
FAQ
Most sessions run between 2 and 5 hours depending on the piece. For larger work like sleeves, we'll plan multiple sessions with proper healing time between each. We never rush. The piece takes as long as it takes.
Occasionally, but we're mostly appointment-only. Every piece at Black Veil is custom — we don't pull flash off the wall. If you walk in and we've got a gap, we'll have a chat. But booking a consultation is always the better move.
You must be 18 or over. No exceptions, no parental consent workarounds. We'll ask for photo ID — driving licence or passport. It's the law, and we take it seriously.
